Dear Bin Hong,
PRO BONO FELLOW JUNE TO DECEMBER 2014
1. Thank you for your able assistance to the NUS Pro Bono Office (NUS PBO) from 1 September
2014 to 31 December 2014 as one of our first two resident Pro Bono Fellows.
2. We truly appreciate the time and commitment you gave to the NUS PBO, while juggling your
commitments in the Part B Bar Course. Among the matters that you tackled were the
development of the clinics, the pro bono hotline, the adult protection talks and our efforts in
relation to deputyship issues. We also appreciated the work that you did with the Singapore
Model Parliament, especially the development ofthe new Legislation drafting competition.
3. Since your law school days, we have enjoyed your company and your commitment to pro
bono. We have often called on you to put your name forward for recognition and have been met
with a flat refusal. This is a reflection of your genuine commitment to pro bono, and we applaud
you for it.
4. We look forward to seeing you continue to be an inspiration to younger law students and further
collaboration once you are called to the Bar.
Yours sincerely
Assoc. Prof. Lim Lei Theng
