2. What Have We learnt about research?
(ideas research & Mize en scene)
• We researched the different aspects of filming a short clip and different camera
angles and whether or not we could use a voice over exc. but we did not research
things directly related to our clip which was about Illegal download which may be
were we went wrong.. We researched the filming process rather than the actual
content we needed to put into it. We discussed the content together as a group
and produced a range of different Ideas, although we disagreed on what idea was
best and other people in the group wanted to use a certain idea while others didnt
so our main Idea was changed several times. Eventually we decided to
compromise and put what we thought was the best of each idea into one overall
Idea.
5. What Did We learn about using
equipment ?
• At first we struggled with using the equipment and how to set it up and film but
eventually we managed to finish filming our clip successfully. We stopped and
started filming several times not because of the equipment but what was actually
being filmed wasn't right, the using the equipment was fine as long as we were
filming the correct stuff.
6. What did I learn about linking theory
to practise?
• Our main plan and idea of what we were going to film was altered when it actually
got to filming. We had a plan of what we were going to do and say but when
actually carried out it didnt turn out how we wanted so we changed it a few times
as we went along in the filming process and just done what we thought looked and
sounded better and was easier to film. We first planned to do a clip against
smoking but then decided that Illegal downloading would be easier and better.
Then we came up with a story board for illegal downloading and what we would
do which didnt work out as we wished so this was altered, this also meant our
script had to be changed. Overall the end result was not the same as what was
planned so we didnt do a good job of linking our theory to actual practise.
