Internship Contract
The contract of employment is between Ms.Binita Suwal residing in Byasi-02, Bhaktapur (called
hereafter “the employee”) and Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Hospital (called hereafter
“DH-KUH”) for appointment as a“Research Intern”for the project entitled “COVID-19 Response in
Nepal”.
1. Beginning and Duration of Employment
The employment begins from 21st
June, 2021 (7th
Asar, 2078)
The contract is for the three month period till 22nd
September, 2021 (6th
Asoj, 2078)
2. Salary and benefit:
The employee will be paid by NRs 8000.00/- (Nepalese Rupee Eight thousand only) on a
monthly basis including transportation and food. Tax will be deducted as per rules of Government of
Nepal.
3. Scope of work:
The work and deliverables will be to involve to:
 Planning and Coordination
 Quantitative data collection
 Focused group discussion and key informant interview
 Transcription and translation
 Data entry
The working days are 6 days per week.
4. Reporting lines:
The employee shall directly report to Dr.Archana Shrestha or, Dr.Biraj Man Karmacharya or,Dr.
Rajeev Shrestha, Research and Development Division.
5. Confidentiality:
The employee must use her best endeavours to promote the interest of the DH-KUH and must not
at any time either during the continuance of this employment or after its termination divulge or
communicate to any person, firm or organization any confidential or private information which he
has or shall possess in relation to the DH-KUH’s business or affairs.
6. Termination of the contract:
Breach of confidentiality will automatically constitute ground for termination of this agreement. If the
employee at any time wishes to terminate this agreement they shall be at liberty to do so by giving a
minimum of one month’s prior notice.
