1. Difference between Commercial, Public and
Voluntary Organisations
Commercial Organisation:
This is general and applies to any group (s) that has a particular set of skills,
priorities, strategies and resources. They want to achieve the ‘specific aim’ of
making a profit e.g. business.
Public Organisation:
A field concerned with maintaining public image for high-profiled people,
commercial business and organizations, non-profit associations or
programmes e.g. parks.
Voluntary Organisation:
One which relies on occasional or regular volunteers for its operations and,
may or may not have paid staff. A volunteer organisation is characterized by
autonomy from the state e.g. child protection.
The Difference between these three organisations:
The difference between all of these organisations is that the commercial
organisation wants to make profit, the public organisation doesn’t and the
voluntary organisation just does it without even getting paid, they just do it for
us for free.
