3. Objectives with gap identified
To develop a machine that enhances the performance of working on the farm.
To develop a machine that reduces the cycle time of laying mulch film.
Design and Fabrication of advanced mulch paper laying machine.
To minimize the production time and increases the production rate.
To reduce human effort.
To reduce capital cost.
The problem identified in the survey is that all the mulching machines are operated
manually or connected to the tractor so we are doing an automated machine which
didn’t need a tractor and uses solar energy to work. In the old day mulch paper is
lapped over the bed with the help of manpower. 6-8 people are required to lying
mulching paper. This process is more time-consuming to solve this problem automated
plastic mulching machine is designed.

4. Working Principle
The main purpose of the machine is to lay the mulching paper on the beds of the soil. It
can help to reduce the capital cost and time of laying the mulching paper using the most
convenient methods well placing all operations in one pass of the machine. When the
operator starts the machine, the motor is connected to the solar panel. It moves towards
the front of the bed. Though the wheels start rotating and at the same time paper is
placed under the front wheels because of that the mulching paper roll is also started
rotating and starts unwinding. The mulching paper operated through the roller-operated
mechanism. As the machine moves forward the paper is also continued sun-wounding
and lying on the beds. And both the side closer plates will place the soil on the plastic.
