Attack the prompt
Why we need to use animals in a experiment?
1. We can know something we cannot deduce in the computer, in
our head. However, when we use animals in experiment, we
can record many details.
2. Animals must also be used in the development of some trait
vaccines. Like the rabies vaccine, swine fever vaccine, these
vaccines are givenout by animals and animals must be used to
test the vaccine.
4. Animal Testing…

1. The large-
scale use of animals as resources has caused serious
environmental problems
A. The United States is the world and
apos largest user of research and testing animals.C
ompanies in the United States do not need to report
to the U.S. Department of agriculture. This makes env
ironmental analysis very difficult
B. Environmental pollution caused by improper treat
ment of toxic or contaminatedmaterials after experi
ment
C.In November 1989, the Reston primate inspection
center received 100 monkeys for experiments when
scientists found monkeys
Negative effects of animal experiments on human beings

1. The difference between human beings and animals themselves leads to serious
consequences
a. Chlorohydroxyquine, an antidiarrheal drug for mice, cats, dogs and rabbits
b. Rabbit eyes correct human blindness because rabbit corneas regenerate under the
eyeball, but human corneas regenerate on the surface of the eyeball
c. Animals that are forced to inhale cigarette smoke do not develop cancer
2. In the experiment, the staff are dangerous and may be infected by the toxic
substances of animals
a. In December 1997, a staff member of the yessky local Primate Research Center
splashed the monkey's body fluid into his eyes. He infected the monkey's body fluid with
herpes B and died six months later

I think there are advantages and disadvantages to taking
bai animals for experiments on humans and animals. For
example, using monkeys to study SARS virus helped us to
analyze the structure and pathology of the virus, and
taking dead pandas for experiments can help us to better
understand them, to better protect them. Experimenting
on frogs can help us find out the effects of harmful gases
in the Earth's atmosphere on amphibians, which is a
warning to us. Experiments on flies inspired us to build
flying machines, and research on bats led to the creation
of ultrasonic positioning devices. Mice helped us create
artificial organs, and so on. The Japanese used rats to
cultivate the plague virus to kill the Chinese, and the US
created cockroach spies to fight the Vietnamese during
the Vietnam War, using animals that had no intention of
harming humans as tools of war. For animals, they also
have nerves and even emotions, and it is inhumane to kill
them casually. But sometimes humans have to sacrifice
animals to help them heal.

It is true that medicines and other products are routinely tested on animals before they
are cleared for human use. While I tend towards the viewpoint that animal testing is
morally wrong, I would have to support a limitedamount of animal experimentationfor
the development of medicines.
On the one hand, there are clear ethical arguments against animal experimentation. To
use a common exampleof this practice, laboratory mice may be givenan illness so that
the effectiveness of a new drug can be measured. Opponents of such research argue
that humans have no right to subject animals to this kind of trauma, and that the lives of
all creatures shouldbe respected. They believe that the benefits to humans do not justify
the suffering caused, and that scientists should use alternative methods of research.
On the other hand, reliablealternatives to animal experimentation may not always be
available.Supporters of the use of animals in medical research believethat a certain
amount of suffering on the part of mice or rats can be justifiedif human lives are saved.
They argue that opponents of such research might feel differently if a member of their
own families needed a medical treatment that had been developedthrough the use of
animal experimentation. Personally,I agree with the banning of animal testing for non-
medical products, but I feel that it may be a necessary evil where new drugs and
medical procedures are concerned.
In conclusion, it seems to me that it would be wrong to ban testing on animals for vital
medical research until equally effective alternatives have been developed.

Many people may not realize that the majority of products in their own home have been tested on animals; fro
m lipstick and shampoo to dish soap and foot powder. Even the white ink on an M&M has been tested on anim
als. To some, this statement may be alarming and even disturbing –
to others it may not mean much at all. Either way, the debate over animal testing has gained much popularity i
n recent decades.
Animal testing has been done since at least 500 BC; even Aristotle experimented on animals for scientific re
asoning. Around 200 AD, dissecting animals in public was actually used as a form of entertainment, people wo
uld actually go and watch someone perform a vivisection on an animal.
It is cruel and inhumane to put animals through so much agony, they can feel pain and suffering too, just like h
umans; they just cannot speak to stand up for themselves.
Recently, a monkey was photographed saving a puppy from a tsunami in Japan. The image just proved how
much the monkey cared and knew what was happening, and knew that he e had to save the puppy and get
away. Animals are smarter than most people think -
they feel love, fear, and pain. Many religious traditions say that people should care for animals, treat them with
respect, and try not to cause them harm or suffering .

Animal testing is also unreliable. Even though ani
mal testing is responsible for many medical breakt
hroughs, some of those breakthroughs could have
been made without testing them on animals. The
drugs that pass animal testing and get put on the
market are not always safe (Scott). There was a dr
ug called Vioxx that was proven to help mice and
protect their heart, but when humans started using
the drug, it caused thousands of heart attacks, m
any resulting in death. According to Dr. Furlong, “
94% of drugs that pass animal tests fail in human
clinical trials”. That is an astonishingly high numb
er. If the results are so inaccurate, then what is the
purpose of even testing on the animal.

Mountingempirical evidence
suggests that many animal
experiments are performed
callouslywithout any heed to the
discomfort or pain that laboratory
mammals endure. For one thing,
improper confinement of test
animalssuch as locking them up
in cramped cages is inhumane;
and this, in turn, can severely
disrupt naturalbiological
functionsof the test animal. For
another,the effects of
vaccinationor vivisection
conducted on live mammalscan
be chilling.In extreme cases, they
constitute sheer torture of
animals.

On 13 March 2006, eight healthy men arrived at a
research unit in London, England, to participate in
the first clinical trial of a drug called"TGN1412".
Two of them were given a placebo and the other
six were given an experimental drug. An hour and
a half after taking the drug, they began to
experience adverse reactions throughout their
bodies. "All six volunteers had a systemic
inflammatory reaction ...... accompaniedby
headache, myalgia, nausea, diarrhea, erythema,
vasodilation, and hypotension."....... Concurrent
pulmonary infiltrates, lung damage, and renal
failure ...... made them criticallyill 12 to 16 hours
after the drug was injected," reads the article in
the September 7, 2006 issue of the New England
Journal of Medicine (see "Disaster of Animal
Research"). ".) (Translator's note: Check out the

tragic.)

Experiments on rats, cats, dogs and rabbits have proved that chlorohydroxyquine,an effective antidi
arrheal drug, has caused blindness and paralysis in humans when it is introduced for human use.
Fenfluramine, a popular diet drug that has proved safe in animals, causes heart disease in humans.
Although surgeons successfully corrected the eyes of rabbits, it led to blindness in the first human pati
ents. This is because rabbit corneas can regenerate below the eyes, whereas human corneas can onl
y regenerate on the surface.
Smoking has been considered safe for decades because experimental studies have found that smoki
ng related cancers in humans are difficult to replicate in animals.Believing that cigarettes are harmle

The treatment of arthritis with sodium zometate, fluroxone and opren caused serious adverse reaction

Mexilergol, a headache drug, can scar blood vessels in the heart, kidney and abdomen, but
these reactions have not been observed in animal experiments, and even when doctors go
back to the laboratory to repeat the experiments, they can not be found in animals.
Ruirulin, a hypoglycemic drug, can cause liver damage to humans which is not found in anim
al experiments. Among them, at least one patient died after taking Ruralin, and the other ne
eded liver replacement.
A drug for nausea and vomiting causes irregular heartbeat. Even at 70 times the normal dose
, scientists were unable to reproduce the side effect in dogs.
Dogs can tolerate the anticancer drug mitoxantrone, whilehuman use can cause heart failur
e.
Pimorin,a treatment for ADHD, has caused liver failure in 13 children,of whom 11 died or nee

This is just a small part of the failure of using animal experimental informationfor humans. W
hen a treatment or chemical is first used in humans, it's really a testing phase. If hum
ans show reactions that are not present in animal studies, the researchers go back to the l
ab and try to reproduce the side effects in animals. But it often doesn't work. They c
ontinue to control various factors, such as concentration and frequency of use, in an atte
mpt to make comparisons between animals and humans, and this comparability does not
exist. Even if they succeed, what does it mean? Absolutely nothing. The really useful inform
ation is found through observation and Research on people.
Animal experiments are also dangerous for those who work in animal laboratories.Laborat
ory workers may inadvertently come into contact with the body fluids of infected animals
and injectable harmful substances, and sometimes even cause death. In December 1997,
a technician at the yekis local Primate Research Center splashed body fluid from a monke
y infected with herpes B. she died six weeks later. In May 2004, a staff member of the victor
Laboratory of Novosibirsk Science Center was infectedwith Ebola virus haemorrhagic fev
er after being stabbed by a needle while performing infection operation on a guinea pig.
She died two weeks later. These are just two cases of accidental exposure of laboratory pe
rsonnel to dangerous compounds and diseases for animal experiments.

the examples we have given, we have found that
the pros of animal testing outweigh the cons. In
multiple cases, there were experiments in which
the subjects had an impact on the subjects, the
environment, and the biosphere, such that the
destruction of the environment, the disruption of
the ecological balance, and the harm caused to
people is immeasurable, not to mention the viruses
that were triggered, were very destructive.
Therefore, we believe that we should minimize the
number of animal experiments, which will be the
most helpful to the environment, animals and
humans.
