Hagus represents over 100 years of experience & experti-
se in automotive mirrors and mirror accessories. Millions
of mirrors have been produced meeting the high quality
standards of the Solingen (Germany) factory.
Since 2007 Van Wezel autoparts is the sole owner of this
brand and decided to continue the high quality criteria of
Hagus and its mirrors. Currently Van Wezel autoparts sells
over 500.000 automotive mirrors, mirror glasses, mirror
covers and other mirror parts per year.
Hagus also represents a full range of caravan mirrors. In
many countries, the names „Huckepack“ and „Sekundo“,
are the best known brands by all caravan users. They fully
represent the Hagus philosophy:
high quality combined with highest possible road safety!
One thing is sure: the initial brand logo quote „Hagus -
Sicher Fahren seit 1910“ (Hagus - Drive Safe Since 1910)

Testing
All Hagus mirrors are extensively tested on multiple cri-
teria. The optical tests ensure the color, shape and the
electrical contacts, followed by a detailed check of the
used materials.

The following tests guarantee lighting parts with a distinc-
tive quality:
Visual Test:
Bulbs, electrical wires, connections of electrical levelers,
color, finishing, catalog compatibility and much more are
accurately checked.
Material Test:
All separate elements of Van Wezel autoparts lighting
units are tested in detail to guarantee a safe and durable
usage.
Assembly Test:
In order to execute a consistent quality control Van We-
zel autoparts develops unique tooling per head lamp. The
head lamp is always equally checked and compared with
the original unit.
Washing Test:
Special air and vacuum tests give leaking no chance!
Impact Test:
A headlamp not only suffers from bad weather conditions.
Small stones, twigs and insects hit the lamp surface and
can influence the functioning. The Van Wezel autoparts
impact tests simulate and examine these effects on the
lighting unit.
Lightbeam Test:
All offered lamps have passed ECE-regulations.
But Van Wezel autoparts quality control goes even further
than this!
An innovative, in house developed, light beam test leaves
nothing to chance.
Robotic equipment simulates the exact position of the
lamp in the car. The digital measurement system deter-
mines whether the product meets the severe Van Wezel
autoparts quality standards.

drop tests, we constantly evaluate our packaging.

Window lifter
Replace, train, ready!
Currently the Van Wezel autoparts program inclu-
des more than 1.000 electrical and manual window
regulators for more than 300 vehicles. This wide range
covers the most important vehicles of European and Asian
manufacturers.
From older cable systems to modern double Bowden sys-
tems with window lifter motor and a built-in controller for
full OE functionality, all available technologies in the mar-
ket are covered!
New to this program are window lifters that are pre-
mounted on the cover plate. The lifter doesn’t have to be
dismantled from the cover plate resulting in a more effici-
ent and faster replacement.

The correct identification of the aftermarket window lifter
can be difficult and confusing. The comfort function and
the plug of the window lifter motor is the biggest problem
during the installation.
To provide customers with all information needed for a
100% precise identification of the window regulator, Van
Wezel autoparts was the first supplier in the European
aftermarket to provide a picture of the plug for every mo-
torized window lifter. You can find these pictures in our
new Web catalog (www.autopartscat.com), our printed
catalog and in our PDF-catalog.
An important differentiating factor for the comfort function
is the number of cables or pins. Window lifters WITHOUT
comfort function have 2 (or 3) pins, window lifters WITH
comfort function, however 4 to 15. There are exceptions
of course. With BMW for example, the comfort function is
controlled by the engine control unit. In this case the win-
dow lifter only has 2 pins and features nevertheless the
comfort function.
To ensure smooth operations of the window lifter, the er-
rors in the control unit have to be deleted and the window
lifter has to be programmed before commissioning. If the
window lowers a little bit after closing or closes only with
pressing the switch several times, in most cases the win-
dow lifter has not been programmed correctly.
