“INVISIBLE” IS ABOUT NONCONFORMITY, AND MAKING IT OKAY WITH YOURSELF TO “FIT IN” IN PLACES THAT
MATTER TO YOU. YOU SHOULD FIND SOMETHING THAT YOU LOVE, AND FIND OTHERS WHO SHARE THE SAME
INTERESTS. JUST BECAUSE THOSE INTERESTS AREN’T THE POPULAR OR MUST FUN THING TO DO ACCORDING TO
MANY PEOPLE, DOESN’T MEAN THAT IT IS WRONG. IT IS JUST DIFFERENT. WE SHOULDN’T TRY TO TURN OURSELVES
INTO PEOPLE WHO WE AREN’T JUST SO OTHERS FIND US ACCEPTABLE. THE MORE WE SHOW AND SHARE OUR
DIFFERENCES, THE MORE OPEN OTHERS WILL BE TO THEM. AND WE MAY EVEN ENCOURAGE THEM TO DO THE
SAME.

• This song shows nonconformity by specifically
mentioning that it is ok to be an “underdog” and to be
proud of it. The lyrics say to be loud, or to speak up,
about being different and your uniqueness. Individuality,
according this this song, is cool.

This song uses nature and it’s
sounds and beauty as an
inspiration. The singer
compares different pieces of
nature, such as the sound of
crickets, as a feeling of love.
She loves how nature makes
her feel.

This song is about creating your own found in your surroundings. In this case, the
surroundings happen to be nature. The singer tries to inspire others to feel and love
nature, and to show the audience that you do not need a city to be entertained.

Luke Combs is singing about being talked into
going out with his friends against his instincts.
He did not want to run into his ex, but did.
Then when he sees his ex, he felt that he should
have left, but didn’t, which he is now

7. “AUSTIN” –BLAKE SHELTON
“SHE HEARD BUT SHE COULDN’T BELIEVE. WHAT KIND OF MAN WOULD
HANG ON THAT LONG?”
“AND P.S. IF THIS IS AUSTIN, I STILL LOVE YOU”• This man’s significant other left him,
but he loved her way too much to
forget about her and move on. Though
he still lived and carried on day by day,
this woman still was always on his
mind, and he still loved her. He felt that
she was going to come back to him, so
he left her a message on his answering
machine recording, valuing his intuition
over reasoning.

8. THE SINGER IS EXPRESSING HIS GUILTY FEELINGS
REGARDING LETTING THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE SLIP AWAY. HE
WISHES HE WOULD HAVE BEEN HONEST WITH HER FROM
THE BEGINNING AND HAD LET THEIR RELATIONSHIP PLAY

BREAKING AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS THINK ABOUT THAT PERSON, WHO IS NOW

behaviors or habits. People
are prone to these things in
order to heal their emotional
wounds. Whether it be
addiction to pills, or causally
taking a drink so to
temporarily relieve the pain,
we are all subject to vices.

PROBLEM”
MIDLAND“People say I’ve
got a drinkin

Midland is singing about an
unfortunate and common
solution for many people when it
comes to trying to cover their
pain and heartaches which
happens to be alcohol. This song
goes to show that people are
prone to self-destruction and sin.
It’s just natural.
