III. Research:
SNMMI (Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging) Annual Meeting 2016
Topic: Thyroid Incidentalomas detected on PET/CT scans: Frequency in 1,438
patients.
In association with the Molecular Imaging and Radiation Therapeutics Department at
Saint Louis University and the Nuclear Medicine Department at SSM Saint Louis
University Hospital, I examined the incidental occurrence of thyroid lesions in patients
with no known history of thyroid disease through the use of PET/CT. This will be a
poster presentation at the SNMMI Annual Meeting 2016 in San Diego on June 11-15.
ASBMB (American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) Annual Meeting
2016
Topic: Antiproliferative effect of Resveratrol and Oxaliplatin on colon cancer cells.
In collaboration with the Biomedical Laboratory Science Department at Saint Louis
University, I examined the effects of the phytochemical Resveratrol and the
chemotherapy drug Oxaliplatin on colon cancer cells. This will be presented as a poster
presentation at the ASBMB Annual Meeting 2016.
SNMMI (Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging) Annual Meeting 2015
Topic: Value of PET/CT in Evaluating Post-Radiotherapy Changes in Bone
Metastases.
In conjunction with the Molecular Imaging and Radiation Therapeutics Department at
Saint Louis University and the Nuclear Medicine Department at SSM Saint Louis
2. 2
University Hospital, I examined the treatment response of bone metastases after radiation
therapy through the use of PET/CT. This was an oral presentation at the SNMMI (Society
of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging) Annual Meeting in the technologist student
tract.
