Because gambling is illegal for anyone under 18, many young people are
reluctant to seek help because they are scared that the police will target them.
This will not happen, because the helpline doesn't ask your name and doesn't
want to know your contact details.
If you phoned the free helpline 0800 006 008, the person
answering the phone will:
• be a professional counsellor
• not ask your name
• keep your call and information absolutely confidential
• talk about what you want to talk about
• offer further advice as to where you can go for further help
• offer free services
