2. Long Division
1. You find the divider. (in this
case 10)
2. You set up the equation
3. You solve the equation
(making it equal to 0)
3. Factoring
1. Write down the equation
2. Think of two numbers that multiply into the “C” value (12) and add
up to the “B” value (7)
3. Put them into parenthesis
4. Set each one equal to zero.
5. Solve for variable.
4. Completing the Square
1. You add/ subtract the “C” value to both
sides.
2. You find the real “C” value by dividing
the “B” value by 2 then multiplying it by
it’s self.
3. Add the real “C” value to both sides.
4. If there is a number attached of the “A”
value then take it out (as shown here)
otherwise go start to factoring.
5. If there is a number, after taking it out,
factor the inside equation.
6. Add the “C” values on the left of the
equation to both sides.
5. Top Log
Logs
1. Turn it into an Exponential Bottom Log
by putting the “amount 1. Divide the Logs with the
equal” as the exponent to same bases
the base value of the log 2. Turn it into an Exponential by
and equal it to the “B” putting the “amount equal”
value. as the exponent to the base
2. Solve the equation. value of the long and equal it
to the “B” value.
3. Solve the Equation
6. Graphing Polyminals
1. Find the Degree by adding the exponents/ counting the x’s
2. Determine if equation is positive or negative.
3. Find the X’s
4. Determine what the points do
1. 1st exponent – straight through (goes straight through)
2. 2nd Exponent – bounce off the axis
3. 3rd Exponent – curves through (curves through the point)
5. Draw the Axis
6. Draw the Points
7. Draw the Line
7. Nicole’s Reflection
I understood the concepts the best and could
explain then thoroughly and that’s why I choose
them. I believe that these concepts show that I
understand not only these concepts but the
others that go along with them. I do not believe
that I have learned anything from this project.
8. Dylan’s Reflection
I choose these concepts because these units
where the ones I got more from, more that I
understood. These concepts should show that I
understand more overall because so many of
the units overlap and they repeat things many
times. I did not learn anything new from this
project.
