Here’s how you can meet your jurisdiction’s
requirements in a way that fits your lifestyle.
4. Take Advantage of the Flexible, Accessible
Architect Registration Examination
• Take the ARE in any order, at any time,
virtually anywhere
• Extensions are available
• New retake policy
o From six months to 60 days!
5. Take the ARE While Completing Internship
• Early eligibility available in 49 jurisdictions
• Eligibility requirements vary

7. Begin IDP After High School and Earn
Credit During Breaks
• Earn IDP experience straight out of high school
• No duration requirement
• Interns can now earn credit beyond six months
