Dr. Kalaldeh is an Architect graduated from Bauhaus University- Weimar in Germany in
1987. He practiced design and construction supervision works for 15 years, then he started
his post-graduate study in Austria where he graduated from Graz Technical University in
2002. Title of his dissertation is: Impact of Industrial Parks on Urban & Regional
Development, where he developed an Expert decision system for location selection of
Industrial Parks. Among others, Ma’an Industrial Park (250 hectare) in southern Jordan can
be considered one of his major achievements, where he prepared the master plan including
coordination with roads and infrastructure disciplines. Urban planning of two major
housing neighborhoods and one Hajj oasis site can also be added to record.
Project management is one of the things that he has being doing lately, where he was
Project Manager (PM) of World Bank project for the rehabilitation of tourist sites in
Tafileh. He was the PM for Kirkuk Master Plan project and international expert on updating
the spatial strategy of Saudi Arabia through UNDP short-term contract.
Dr. Kalaldeh is a practicing Architect with special emphasis on regional and urban
planning. He is also a part-time lecturer and various Jordanian universities and has (11)

 Project Description:
Hajj Oasis is one of the four clusters comprising Ma'an Development Area. Its
development is meant to offer temporary accommodation and various services
to pilgrims on their way to Mecca and back for Hajj and Omrah. The 200
Dunum site is located on the Desert Highway (11) km to the north of Ma’an
City. The project main features are: Hotel; Commercial Facilities (Restaurants,
Petrol Station and Shops); Civic Facilities; Administration Facilities; Mosque;
Tents; Sewage Treatment Plant; Elevated Water Tank & Underground
Reservoirs.
 Project Responsibilities:
- Planning site layout and designing accommodation facilities ;
- Coordination between team members (Architectural, Electro-mechanical and
Structural).
- Preparation of stage and final report.
- Making presentation to Development Zones Authority.
- Preparation of Architectural Design Guidelines.
MILITARY EXPERIENCE
Member of National Guard: No
In Jordan, the country from where I come, men have to serve two years as compulsory
service which I did one year after graduating from Germany in 1988 at the Arab Armey
(the Jordanian Armed Forces). After a three-month military training, I served as an
Engineer under supervision, where I was supervising the construction of Canteen and
dormitories.
