Hedonism is the belief that pleasure is the most important thing in life and that people act to gain pleasure and avoid pain. Religion can be defined in different ways but generally involves a belief in a higher power and a system of worship. People follow religions for reasons like achieving supernatural rewards and avoiding punishments. Morality involves distinguishing between right and wrong behavior, and is related to but distinct from religion which involves external or metaphysical influences. Laws represent societal views on morality but morality comes from personal views of right and wrong.
1. Hedonism. Living and behaving in ways that mean you get as much pleasure out
of life as possible, according to the belief that the most important thing in life is
to enjoy yourself. To gain pleasure and to avoid pain is the prime mover behind every
action of men.
Religion
There are diversities of opinions about the definition of religion so it cannot be folded in
one cloth. The most sample approach toward the religion is “that the belief in and
worship of a superhuman controlling power is known as religion, or some other says
about religion that “religion is a particular system of faith and worship. the definition of
religion may be anything but there is concept of theology and have some believer too.
Why do people follow religion?
To achieve the will of nature or supernatural person is one of the motives behind every
religion follower. there is concept of reward and punishment attached with every religion
so to get that reward and kept away from the punishment is also one of the main reason
behind because religion offer to a believer a life after death which is ever lusting and
unending, full of amusement .as per the nature of human everybody want to be young
and to live forever in full luxury mechanism so the concept of hedonism is also present.
The problem with religion is that the giver is meta physical and unseen so the sanction
behind is also somewhat meta physical that is why some people don’t follow and
ineffective. .
Morality.
Principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad
behaviour.
Morality is understanding the distinction between right and wrong and living according to
that understanding, and ethics is the philosophy of how that morality guides individual
and group behaviour. The two are closely related, with morality being the foundation of
ethics
Morality is an inter source its appeal to one conscience.1
There is no proper external
sanction exist for morality but a weak social sanction which is not that much affective.
There is close relation between religion and morality .the morality may be affected by
religion but there is some distinction between .first in morality there is inter force while in
religion there is external as well as Meta physical sanction.
Need of law:
Sometime a very basic question comes in one prudence mind that when we have with
the individual mechanism of declaring good and bed ,and having rational substance as
well then what is the need of law
Laws are absolute rules prescribed by government representatives, while morality has
to do with personal views on what is right or wrong. There is a close
relationship between the two in that laws often represent the overriding
societal view on moral issues.
