 Provide real-time information to the Directional Drilling team on
the well bore position and trajectory.
 Provides real time measurement of basic drilling dynamics
information such as pressure, vibration and temperature in
addition to measuring basic formation evaluation properties.
 Provide valuable formation evaluation information to oil and gas
companies in real time as the well bore is being drilled. From
this information, decisions are made in real time on the optimal
position of the well bore and from the recorded data, the quality
of the reservoir.
 Involves in formation and directional evaluation while drilling
(real time / recorded) on development and exploration wells in
the oil and gas industry. Typically work on and offshore drilling
rigs.
 Skills include : Knowledge in Formation Evaluation while
drilling. Interpretation of data in logs which received from various
LWD tools such as Gamma Ray, Resistivity , Density, Porosity,
Sonic, and Formation Pressure.
 Knowledge in drilling dynamics information during drilling such
as pressure, vibration and temperature which received in real-
time and recorded through MWD tools.
 Knowledge in Directional Drilling Concept and survey
interpretations which includes all the parameters that matters in
achieving the target of the well bore position by using Mud Motor
and Rotary Steerable System.
 Ability of handling radioactive source (installing and removing) to
the LWD tools (Density and porosity tools). Has the knowledge
and information of the source that is being used and hazards of
the source. Attended a proper in house training on how to handle

radioactive sources and any other problems that could come
with it.
 Additional skills which includes hands on and psychical works
expertise. Good in repairing and troubleshooting problems.
Especially troubleshooting in terms of hardware (Electronics,
Electrical , Mechanical).
 Ability and knowledge of rigging up wiring , Chicksan Plumbing
and Surface Sensors at on and offshore rigs as per the rig
operators requirement.
