-1700-1800: higher increase (600.000 portuguese, job in mines)
-1800-1900: high increase. After independence (European people)
-1900-1980: high decrease (deseases, forced jobs, mass transfers,
massacres etc.)
-Nowadays: population increase (protection and security gift by
