2. Who is RUPCO?
RUPCO is an independent contractor for NYSERDA. We are
the only Constituency Based Organization (CBO) for the 10
Counties in the Mid-Hudson Region tasked with providing
outreach for the NYSERDA Green Jobs – Green New York
programs...

Who is RUPCO?
To date RUPCO has attended over 982 meetings that include
both public and private presentations, and public events.
RUPCO established or enhanced strategic partnerships to
conduct outreach and referrals in 10 Counties of the Mid-Hudson
Region (From Delaware and Greene to Southern Westchester)
including Municipalities, Non For Profits, Small businesses, Utility
Companies, and educational Institutions.

Who is RUPCO?
RUPCO relies on key referral sources to recruit and enroll
customers on a daily basis. Key partners include Central Hudson
Gas & Electric, Energize NY, Mid-Hudson EDGE Program
(Courtney Strong Inc.), New York State Energy Research and
Development Authority (NYSERDA) and our municipal partners.
In addition, RUPCO generates a majority of their referrals from
Home Performance Contractors and events.

Who is RUPCO?
After the Customer applies to the Program, RUPCO takes the
leads generated at these events and provides the customers with
the link to the lists of HP contractors and a guide on how to
properly select one to conduct the Energy Assessment.

Who is RUPCO?
At this point the next step is in the hands of the customer and the
contractor. The customer has selected the contractor and the
assessment has been scheduled.
9. … Post Audit
Who is RUPCO?
The customer and the contractor will not hear from RUPCO again
until after the assessment has been completed or when the
customers RES# is about to expire. We then step back in and
offer to help with making the assessment happen or with
explaining the options for paying for the work and explaining the
Assessment report.

Who is RUPCO?
By making sure that RUPCO is selected as the CBO on the
assessment application, we are flagged and emailed at every step
of the process.

When this happens we are CC’ed on any and all communications
between NYSERDA/CLEAResult and the customer.
We also are able to access the NYSERDA database to reengage
HP customers that have completed the assessment but nothing
else… a stalled customer.

emphasis on savings and cash flow positive financing

RUPCO has a 27.7% conversion rate from assessment to retrofit
for all customers and contractors who use us as the CBO.
