1. General
• Carter & Associates and Dawson Co., master developers of The Banks, unveiled
a new marketing scheme and logo for the site, which reflects the mixed use
development’s unique brand.
• Too much of a good thing? Cincinnati is known for being a low-cost city to live in.
For this reason, many people have made the decision to move to the area. But,
a new report by RealtyTrac shows that the influx of residents has decreased the
area’s affordability index by as much as 47 percent since last year.
Investment/Development
• The Historic Conservation Board officially approved Music Hall’s $135 million
renovation. Renovations have begun and the building will be entirely closed to
the public in May. The completion date is expected to coincide with the opening
date of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s 2017-18 Season.
• Water treatment system manufacturer, Aquisense Technologies LLC, will invest
$2.1 million in a new headquarters and facility in Erlanger, Kentucky.
• M-G Securities, Nassau Investments, and Clifton Heights Community
Redevelopment Corp. are partnering to create a $75 million mixed-use
development at the intersection of the Clifton, Mount Auburn, and
Corryville neighborhoods.
• Columbia REI LLC has requested the Historic Conservation Board to approve
the demolition of the former 69,000-square-foot Dennison Hotel in downtown
Cincinnati. Plans call for an office development site that could attract a Fortune
500 company to build a headquarters building.
• KRC Properties LLC purchased the 17 E. Eighth Street building from Navarro
Photography LLC for $500,000, which the company plans to convert to
luxury condominiums.
• Grandin Properties bought the 29,500-square-foot former Boys & Girls Club
at 1621 Logan Street in Over-the-Rhine for $500,000. Plans call for a possible
brewery, sports club, or bowling alley.
• Online auction startup, Everything But The House received Ohio Tax Credit
approval to build a 100,000-square-foot distribution center, while creating 275
jobs. A final site has not yet been determined.
• The Cincinnati Planning Commission approved a 25-story apartment building,
known as SkyHouse, near the city’s riverfront at 601 E. Pete Rose Way. The
developers of the building, Novare Group, hope to complete the 352-unit
development in late 2017.
• The Scheuler Group will redevelop the former Loveland Lanes bowling alley site
at 897 Loveland-Madeira Road into “Loveland Pointe.” The project will include a
36,000-square-foot office building and a 9,800-square-foot retail building.
• Brandicorp is working with the City of Bellevue, Kentucky to redevelop a river-
front site now occupied by parking lots. Final plans have not yet been
made public.
Office
• Fifth Third Bank expanded and renewed its lease at the former 580
Building, now known as @580, on East 6th Street in downtown Cincinnati
and now occupies 185,000 square feet. 179 apartment units are nearing
completion on the upper floors of the 530,000-square-foot building, while
ground second level retail spaces are nearly fully leased.
• Tata Consultancy Services signed a lease of 40,000 square feet at the One
Crowne Point building at 1 Crowne Point Court in Sharonville.
• The Roehr Agency purchased a former 11,000-square-foot gym at 4642
Ridge Road in Oakley for $1.25 million to renovate as its new headquarters.
• The Northern Kentucky Health Department will build a new 40,000-square-
foot headquarters on the campus of the Florence Government Center.
• Messer Construction Co. is finalizing details to build a new corporate
headquarters at 904 Cutter Street in the West End. The proposed building
will be 50,000 square feet with room to expand with an additional 25,000
square feet.
• Bahl & Gaynor Investment Counsel is expanding with a 10 year lease for
14,000 square feet at the First Financial Center in downtown Cincinnati.
• Oswald Cos. Is relocating downtown to a 3,500-square-foot space in the
Carew Tower in early May.
Industrial
• Citimark Inc. acquired 100 Corridor Park Drive in Monroe, Ohio from RMMD
II Company for $5.5 million and plans to modernize the 184,000-square-
foot facility.
• The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority has identified its first
large industrial parcel to redevelop and attract manufacturing jobs to the
region. The 54-acre site at 2100 Section Rd will be acquired for
$8.5 million.
• In Florence, Kentucky, Retread America Inc leased a 25,000-square-foot
building at 6801 Power Line Rd.
• Aquisense leased 15,000 square feet at 4400 Olympic Blvd in
Erlanger, Kentucky.
• Capstone Supply leased a 11.250-square-foot industrial building at 4672
Paddock Rd in Bond Hill.
Retail
• The family-friendly Crayola Experience is negotiating to open its fourth
national location at Liberty Center. A 40,500-square-foot addition would be
constructed at the mixed-use regional center to host the hands-on
attraction.

2. • Richard Brown and Jean-Robert de Cavel picked a name for their new restaurant in
the Great American Tower. It will be named “L,” after their daughters’ first names. The
restaurant will open this summer.
• A new coffee shop will take root in West Chester where customers can enjoy coffee
while surrounded by cats available for adoption. Kitty Brew Cat Café plans to open by
the summer.
• Cork & Cap, located at 2637 Erie Avenue on Hyde Park Square, hosted its grand
opening this month. The wine bar features a full bar with a large selection of
international bottle selections.
• This June, boutique retailer Elm & Iron will relocate to a larger location in
Over-the-Rhine at 1411 Vine Street.
• Former city councilman, Greg Harris, will open his second pet store, Argos All-Natural
Pet Food & Supply, at 2801 Woodburn Avenue in East Walnut Hills.
• Howl at the Moon and Splitsville Luxury Lanes will be the new tenants for the
16,000-square-foot former Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill space at The Banks.
• Popular Louisville breakfast bar Wild Eggs will open its first Cincinnati location in
4,400 square feet at Great American Tower at Queen City Square.
• Cork ‘N Bottle will open a yet to-be-named wine market and bar at 640 Main Street.
The 3,000-square-foot location is set to open by June.
• New fresh food restaurant Ladles has opened its first Cincinnati store at
Oakley Station.

• San Clemente, Calif.-based CareTrust REIT Inc purchased Victory Park
Nursing Home and Victory Retirement Community at 1500 and 1578
Sherman Avenue in Norwood for $4,454,059. The facilities include 145
skilled nursing beds and 69 assisted living units.
• The 31-unit Mears Cove Apartments in Mt. Washington was acquired by
Mt. Washington Holdings LLC for $925,000 from Sakshi Enterprise LLC, a
California-based private investor.
• The Kruckemeyer condominium redevelopment at 1501 Vine Street
in Over-the-Rhine will soon welcome its residents. LJRE Developers
invested $1 million to renovate the building.
