7. Very strict security policy for all the communications
between MUCO and server or Gateway :
• Mutual Authentication before any communication.
• After authentication, any data exchanged is ciphered and
embedded of a proof of authenticity.
• Data Encryption is done with a disposable session key
randomly generated during authentication.

8.  Authentication : MUCO uses a symetrical mutual
authentication scheme based on a
previously shared key and a
random challenge.
 Confidentiality : MUCO crypts/decrypts all the
messages using an AES key of 128
bits.
 Integrity/Authenticity : Each decrypted message is
delivered with a CRC to guaranty its
integrity and authenticity (the CRC
is also ciphered).

9. Key Management:
• Each MUCO is equipped with a default key to
communicate the first time.
• Users are invited to change this key on the first use of
MUCO.
• A turn back to the factory key situation is also furnished in
case of losing the user chosen key
