4. Are we need prevention of HCC ?
 HCC is a panic disease for:
the patients
his relatives
the physician
Because: bad prognosis
highly variable in every thing

5.  HCC is the third cause of cancer related
death. The annual number of cases exceeds
500000.
 Males and advanced age are associated with a
higher incidence.
 The most powerful risk factor is liver cirrhosis
2-8% / year.
 At presentation : advanced liver disease or the
tumor,
 No HCC vaccine.

9. Risk Factors for Liver Cancer :
Chronic HBV infection.
Liver cirrhosis :
HBV and/or HCV.
Transplant of HCC,
Family history of HCC with or without cirrhosis,
Primary biliary cirrhosis.
Wilson disease.
Autoimmune hepatitis and cirrhosis.
Alcoholic , Obesity :( NASH, NAFLD ).
Toxins:
Dietary contamination with Aflatoxin B1
Hormones (Anabolic steroids and contraceptive pills).
Hemochromatosis.
Smoking.
Chemicals/Insecticides.
Metabolic :
α1 antitrypsin deficiency.
Porphyria cutanea tarda.
Primary sclerosing cholangitis,
