RA BURNOUT
Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and
physical exhaustion caused by excessive and
prolonged stress
 Feel overwhelmed and unable to meet demands
 Begin to lose interest and/or motivation
STRESS VS. BURNOUT
Stress, by and large, involves too much, too many
pressures that demand too much of you physically
and psychologically
Stress is something are aware of and feel like you’ll
eventually gain control over
STRESS VS. BURNOUT
 Burnout is about not enough. Being burned out means
feeling empty, devoid of motivation, and beyond caring
 Won’t always notice burnout happening
 Burnout is a result of undealt with stress over a long period
of time
 Spreading yourself too thin
WHAT CAUSES BURNOUT?
Working too much, without enough time for
relaxing or socializing
Being expected to be too many things to too many
people
Taking on too many responsibilities without
enough help from others
Not enough sleep
MAKE TIME FOR YOU!
