Retired Giants football player signs autographs and shows off his
Superbowl ring.
Former New York Giant Jessie Armstead signed autographs and various football
related items for fans while at Stop & Shop on Route 17 on Saturday. He also
posed for photos with fans and employees.
Following a 9-year career with the Giants, Jessie Armstead was signed to a
three-year, $4.5 million deal by the Washington Redskins, where he played for
two seasons.
In June 2007, Armstead signed a one-day contract with the New York Giants to
officially retire a New York Giant. The Giants won the Superbowl that year, which
meant Armstead was able to receive a Superbowl ring along with the rest of the
team.
