• Manage surplusprogramfor AthleticDepartment,whichrequiresenteringdocumentsonline,
receivingandtaggingmaterialsanddeliveringitemstothe mainwarehouse.
• Oversee letterwinnersprogramforAthletics.
• Preparationof teamtravel forcoachesthroughuse andmaintenance of 15+ state vansand in
compliance withNCAA andUniversitytravel procedures.
• Participantinconference callsconcerninggame managementforall sports.
• Organize andconduct game operationsmeetingsforsports.
Facilities
• Coordinate andoversee day-to-daypreventative facilitymaintenance andrepairsforathletics,
including:a50,000 seatfootball complex,8,000 seatbasketball arena,1,000 seat softball and
soccer stadiumsand3,000 seat baseball stadium.
• Manage and facilitate buildingandequipmentrepairsthroughthe use of anelectronicwork
ordertracking system.
• Troubleshootanypiece of equipmentnotworkingproperlyandif possiblerepairthatpiece of
equipment(basketballgoals,bleachers,soundandprojectionsystems,etc).
• Conductsregularsafetywalk-throughof facilitiestoensure thattheyprovide comfortandsafety
to all athletes,coaches,staff andspectatorsinall athleticfacilities.
- 2. • Planand organize the schedulesforathleticfacilitiesforteampractices,special eventsand
competitions.
• MonitornewAthleticComplexandfacilityconstructionprojectswithoutsidecontractors
• Coordinationwithvariouscampusofficialsinspecial eventssuchasgraduation,concertsand
formal banquetsthattake place inathleticfacilities.
• Handle facilityrentals,includingscheduling,setup/breakdownof facilities,developcontracts
and invoicingof internalandexternal clients.
• AssistDirectorof AthleticGroundswiththe preparationsandmaintenance of athleticgrounds.
Personnel
• Supervise 12+studentworkersandathleticoperations internseachsemesterbypreparing,
approvingandsubmittingbi-monthlystudentpayroll.
• Recruit,hire,trainandevaluate all studentworkersandinternswhileschedulingaround
academicresponsibilities.
• Initiate andorganize game daystaff,ushersandsecurityprogramswithover50 employeesfor
athleticevents.
• Directlymanagesparkingstaff withoutsideagencyforparkingneedsforevents.
Security
• Developedsecurityproceduresforfacilityopeningandclosing.
• Monitorand analyze AthleticComplexsecuritycameras.
• Maintainand operate wirelesskeyentrysystemintoAthleticComplexfacilities.
• Requestandissue keystoathleticfacilitiesforathleticcoachesandstaff.
• RegularlyattendsDepartmentof HomelandSecurityTraining,which focusesonthe abilityto
recognize,identifyandpreventterroristactivityorindividualsthatpose securityrisks.
• Coordinate andschedule withPrivate SecurityCompany,AthleticEventStaff (PirateStaff) and
CampusPolice onsecurityissuesatall athleticcontestsandevents.
• Developedanddesignedemergencyoperationmanuals,game dayhandouts,emergency
procedure credentials’andFanassistbusinesscardsforemployeesworkinginfootball stadium
on game day.
• Assistinevacuationproceduresof football stadiumandbasketballarena.
