  1. 1. Accessibility in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Love all the accessibility improvements coming with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update! Have you kept track? Here are some highlights, from @JenMSFT 😊 Narrator Improvements ○ Scan mode on by default ○ Narrator Input learning has been added to enable you to learn the keys on your device. Narrator will tell you the key that you've pressed, as well as the Narrator command associated with it. This can be turned on and off with Caps + 1 ○ You can now type and read using different braille translations, choose a blinking cursor representation, and choose the duration of “flash messages”. You can also now perform braille input for app shortcuts and modifier keys ○ Narrator now has the ability to use artificial intelligence to generate descriptions for images that lack alternative text on demand. Simply use Narrator to set focus to the image then press CapsLock + Shift + D to hear its description (requires internet access)

Low Vision Improvements ○ Colour filters (greyscale, inverted, and more) which can be turned on and off with Ctrl + Win + C ○ Revamped Magnifier Settings & new bitmap smoothing support Augmentative & Alternative Communication ○ Introducing Eye Control! Designed to empower people with ALS or other similar disabilities, with the use of a Tobii Eye Tracker 4C you can now use a virtual keyboard, mouse, TTS and shapewrite all using only your eyes! Learning and Cognitive Improvements ○ In addition to epubs, Microsoft Edge now supports read aloud for webpages and PDFs
