Introduction from the CEO of Fishermen’s Community Hospital: Hal W. Leftwich, DBA, FACHE, CEO.
Each one of us contributes to the total experience. If we are genuinely happy, our happiness is felt by others. Think of how you may have felt when coming upon an individual that was not happy. Say for example, they were very upset or angry about something. How did that experience make you feel? How did it impact your day?
Good customer service starts from within yourself. How do you feel? When you feel good about something, you tend to want more of it. The best efforts ever made are efforts that seem effortless because we enjoy doing them. Passion is the reason why we make the choices that we make. When we do more and have more of the things that we want, we become better at those activities. Stop and think about how you got to where you got in your life. Why are you a nurse, doctor, medical technologist, radiology tech? Why do you live were you currently live?
In healthcare, compassion for others is the most basic essential for a caregiver.
