The number of strategic partnerships has grown by 330%.
In 2017, seven European countries will review their drone airspace
regulation. Sweden has already decided to ban them.

The DRONE PIONEER AWARD focuses on the
story behind the technology
In 2018, we will award drone applications related to
major social problems for the second time. The award is
meant to ignite public debate about new opportunities -
both nationally and internationally - without shying away
from conflict. Our first DRONE PIONEER AWARD winner
in 2017 was the project ECOswat, who react on climate
change and grant water access in the most driest areas
through space detection technology
Effective discourse
The award is meant to enrich the socio-political
discourse on the issue of increased acceptance and also
fuel the debate on the monetization of airspace.
Who should participate in the DPA?
Applications are accepted from companies,
startups, organizations and project groups that
work on drone applications, e.g.
• B2C or B2B application solutions
• Startups that will transform the market
• Innovative solutions for passenger
transport
• Regulatory concepts for airspace
• Acceptance concepts for drone
applications
• Focus: Global Impact. The award
focuses on the UN sustainability goals
to be achieved by 2030. It promotes
