My program will be
addressing drugs abuse
and addiction among
teens and prevention
and treatment measures.
Drugs abuse and
addiction among teens is
a major public health
problem. Drug abuse is
dangerous and deadly,
especially in teens. Drugs
abuse among teens is
associated with major
social, psychological, as
well as clinical problems.
Identified population are
teens, (ages 13 to 19).
4. Central Mission
of Program
Central mission of this
program will be the
provision, prevention and
treatment services to teen
affected by drugs abuse
and addiction.
5. Program Goals
Providing the services needed for teens
struggling with abuse and addiction
problems within the period of five years.
6. Political, economic, social, and
technological factors that would be
most likely to affect the clients
Political: Politics plays a major role in that policies and health guidelines that
will be put in place to govern the services being provided to people of this
age group. There may be legal implication of treatment methods as well as
the outcomes for minors.
Economic and social effect of substance abuse and addiction in teens could
adversely affect society as a hold. When addiction problem occurs, the
person affected is no longer able to adequately contribute to society and may
create a negative social effect on others around them.
Technological factor that may affect this population exposal of other Teens
through social media or other electronic media to substance abuse .
7. Culture, diversity
and the impact
on program.
Culture is a huge factor when
considering an intervention to my
targeted population . Children of this
age group comes from diverse
cultural backgrounds and special
consideration will be taken when
dealing with health needs.
culturally responsive services will
be provided, and all staff must work
from a culturally humble stance.
Attitude needed will be openness,
respect, humility, empathy, self-
awareness, authenticity, and non-
judgment
8. Organizational
Theory & Design
Major organizational theories that will be
use in my program will include Human
relations and Human resource model.
These two models are very important in
running this program because it has a lot
to do with coordination and
communication between clients, staff and
family members. We will need competent
employees with human relation skills to
interact with teens experiencing this
issues as well as their family and love
ones.

program will be set up to address

abuse and addiction issues .

Baseline data of drug use and abuse.
Clinical progress notes and outcomes
Follow-ups records on cases
Data collection and analysis tools will be used
such as ,Computers/software, papers and pen,
staff( physical interactions)
13. Program Evaluation
Program evaluation will be base
off baseline data and continuous
data collection in the treatment
and intervention process.
Outcome will be measure by
using these data and also using
feedbacks to modify the program
if necessary.
14. Conclusion
Drug or substance abuse among
teens is a public health
emergency. By formulating a
program that will help in the
prevention treatment and
management of teens affected
will be a great step towards
saving this generation. You can
be a part of this by identifying
and making referrals which will
sets teen on the road to recovery.
