Many browns and blacks are not certified. Yellow is the vast majority representing – 77%, Pink is extremely rare, only 5%.
Strength of color plays a big role in value. Stronger is typically more valuable. This is important to remember when sourcing fancies for clients.
Is a yellow-green worth less than a green? Yes. However, some modifiers may increase the value of diamonds. “Reddish brown” Brown and gray modifiers usually decrease the value. 1)Explain how modifiers work on GIA Report and which add value and deduct value.
