OBSERVATION
OF TEACHING?
Peer observation is observation of
teachers by teachers
It involves observers providing
descriptive feedback to their peers
on learning and teaching practice to
improve quality of teaching.
It is a professional responsibility
that is vital to teaching quality.

13. PLAN OF IMPLEMENTAION
All faculty members will be oriented about the importance,
goals, and methodology of peer observation.
Male and female faculty members will be asked to
participate in peer observation scheme once per semester.
14. PLAN OF IMPLEMENTATION (CONTD)
The observation will involve the following teaching activities,
lecture, SGD, tutorials, skill and practical labs
The faculty members will be randomly allocated to observe
and be observed and notified of the time and date of
observation session.
Observer should use the assigned forms and feedback form
should be completed.
15. PLAN OF IMPLEMENTATION (CONTD)
The observed will receive a feedback in a suitable way
that will be decided by the program administrator..
All interactions during the observation and following
feedback should be strictly confidential.
