Global Dressage Festival is home to the world’s largest international dressage circuit, running eight
consecutive weeks and showcasing some of the best rider and horse combinations in the world. GDF is owned by
entrepreneur, Mark Bellissimo. Mr. Bellissimo’s wife, Katherine, recommended me for this position.
I worked under Thomas Baur, coordinating ribbon placing, schedule of events for Friday night freestyles,
and dealt directly with Global’s sponsors to ensure their happiness. This was a very fast-paced, high stress work
environment where I proved to remain calm and professional even in the toughest of situations.

Dr. Schmidt was my advisor as well as my genetics professor. He has had multiple of his studies
published. I worked closely with Dr. Carl J. Schmidt in the Animal Sciences Genetics Department analyzing
broiler chicken growth hormones that potentially influenced dramatic growth in breast size from the 1950’s to
present year. I became very proficient in laboratory safety, protocols, equipment and analyzing/organizing data.
