WE, THE STUDENTS OF SANTA FE COLLEGE, HEREBY RESOLVE:
TITLE: Business Office Transparency Resolution
AUTHORS: Senator Matthew Pearson, Global Society
SPONSORS: Senator Myers, Senator Doehki, Senator Bowman, Senator Brenes, Senator
Zaldivar
WHEREAS, there may be occasions when transaction which must be processed through
the Student Life Business Office may be resented or rejected on the
reason of a rules violation,
WHERE AS, these transactions have in the past been denied without a clear explanation,
WHERE AS, these scenarios make the required bureaucratic process less efficient and
more cumbersome,
BE IT RESOLVED, that clear and comprehensive dialogue and communication between
the Santa Fe College Student Body Treasurer’s office and that of the Student Life
Finance office,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if requests of any transaction that must be
processed through the Student Life Business Office be denied, that it would be
accompanied with a written citation of the College Rule it may be in violation so that
Student Organizations and/or the Student Government can efficiently correct the request
to be in compliance with every ruled required for the transaction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The Student Body requests of the Student Life business
office that a comprehensive budget guide be drafted as a tool for the office of the Student
Body Treasurer to ensure that any business request that may pass through his office will
be in compliance with the relevant college rules.

Lanier, Associate Director of Student Life Dr. Doug Bagby, Vice President of Student
