-AIAA Rocketry is a division of the WMU AIAA Registered Student Organization in which students are given an opportunity to apply their
aerodynamics and physics knowledge in a competitive environment by designing, building, and flying (DBF) certification level 1 and 2 rockets
against collegiate teams throughout the nation. The R&D team is responsible for brainstorming, developing, testing and implementing new
equipment and methods in an attempt to give the team an advantage in competition.
WMU FLUID MECHANICS LABORATORY VOLUNTEER RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
-The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at Western Michigan University offers the opportunity for research and development of ideas and knowledge in
multiple branches of Fluid Mechanics. Research opportunities have included studies of fluid mechanics phenomenon found throughout the solar
system and studies of aerodynamic flow, separation, and physiognomies at different temperatures under the guidance of graduate students and
Professors of the WMU Aerospace Engineering Faculty.
WMU BAJA CLUB SAE
Frame, Suspension and Drivetrain Design Team Member
-WMU Baja is a Registered Student Organization in which students are able to apply their engineering knowledge, work in a team oriented
environment, and gain hands-on experience from preliminary design to final assembly. Baja is responsible for designing, fabricating, testing, and
racing a single seat all-terrain vehicle that will compete against over 100 universities in national SAE events.
WMU SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS
