Your Diverse Billing Partner
Homeland HealthCare, Inc. (Homeland) is a third-party administrator and general agency specializing in
the management of group health insurance plans. Homeland provides employers with several options
on how to process benefit deductions for employees. By partnering with Homeland, employers have the
maximum flexibility to choose the right billing solution based on their specific needs.
Direct Deposit helps relieve the burden of invoice
reconciliations and also ensures individual employee
premiums are collected which in turn avoids lapses in
coverage. This method thereby reduces the “chasing
of funds.” Following the completion of open enrollment,
Homeland will aggregate premium deductions by
employee and assign employee-specific account numbers.
This aggregated file is provided to the employer who loads
the deductions, according to payroll frequency, into the
payroll system. On designated payroll dates, deductions
are sent via bank draft to individual employee premium
accounts. On a monthly basis, Homeland collects
premiums by employee and remits to each carrier.
With Consolidated Bill, employers spend less time
reconciling monthly bills and disbursing payments.
The employer will deduct the benefit amount from the
employee each pay day. Homeland will then send the
employer a single consolidated bill each month for
the employees’ benefits. After the employer reviews/
approves the invoice, Homeland drafts the employer’s
designated bank account for the invoice. Homeland
remits premiums to each carrier for the amounts
due for coverage, which eliminates the need for the
employer to reconcile invoices from multiple carriers.
With Employee Direct Pay, the employer does not
deduct the premium payments from the employee.
On each pay day, Homeland drafts the employee’s
designated bank account or credit card for the
benefits. Homeland remits premiums to each carrier
for the amounts due for coverage. Homeland can
accommodate any payroll frequency - weekly,
bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly.
With Employer Direct Remittance, the employer
deducts the benefit amount from the employee each
pay day. The employer then sends the amounts
deducted to Homeland (or Homeland will draft the
employer’s designated bank account) along with back
up detailing premiums deducted. Homeland remits
premiums to each carrier for the amounts due for
coverage.
