1. To Whom It May Concern;
I had the pleasure of working with Markus Davis during the summer of 2015 in his capacity as
Marketing & Communications Intern for The ALS Association – DC/MD/VA Chapter.
In the short time period that Markus was with our organization he proved himself to be a very
eager, engaging and overall outstanding member of our team. He is a fast learner with the ability
to excel at any task that is given to him and frequently showed his ability to quickly adapt to new
roles and overcome challenges. Markus’ intelligence, due diligence and dependability are his
outstanding qualities.
Markus had the unique opportunity to work on the 2015 Ice Bucket Challenge Campaign—an
annual event benefitting the ALS Association. During this time, Markus was a major part of the
preparation and execution of this large campaign. Markus contributed his excellent writing skills
by comprising patient spotlights—op-ed articles and press releases. He showed great promise in
digital marketing with the design of multiple marketing email blasts. Markus proved diligent
through his excellent research abilities and overall demonstrated great quality in his work.
Markus carries with him an array of tools and knowledge that I know will contribute to his
continued success. He has extensive knowledge of Marketing and Communications practices and
truly excels in this creative work environment. He has absolutely been an asset to our
organization, and I am confident that he will be an outstanding team member wherever he goes.
I highly recommend Markus Davis for employment. Should you have any questions, I can be
reached at 301-978-9855 ext. 213 or at TGill@ALSinfo.org .
Sincerely,
Tanyelle M. Gill
