What is SWIGA?
SWIGA is the Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency.
It was established to provide householders with an
independent, uniform and dependable guarantee that is stand
alone but is aligned to support and deliver the Green Deal and
Energy Company Obligation (ECO) for internal, external and
hybrid solid wall insulation work.
A key element of the successful expansion of solid wall
insulation as a mass market measure is consumer confidence
and protection, ensuring that quality installations are
undertaken and that they are backed by a comprehensive
guarantee.
The SWIGA framework ensures that all stages of the work, from
survey to design and installation are carried out by competent
companies using skilled operatives and that it is guaranteed
to meet both the stringent high standards of quality and the
requirementsofanindependentthirdpartysurveillancescheme.
Installation of Solid wall insulation is a proven reliable process
and has been established for over 25 years. The SWIGA
framework and Guarantee provides additional peace of
mind and access to technical expertise in the event of any
defect arising in the design, workmanship or materials.

How to become a Member
Membership is open to Installer & System Certificate
Holders
Process:
• Application for membership with processing fee
• Approval by BBA surveillance and inspection scheme
• Review by SWIGA
• Acceptance into membership and issue with unique
membership number
• Members agree to be bound by the rules of conduct for
SWIGA members, and remain responsible for work for
the guarantee period

Leading industry bodies and solid wall insulation system
suppliers have developed the new Solid Wall Insulation
Guarantee Agency (SWIGA).
SWIGA operates a robust quality and technical framework
backed up by an independent surveillance scheme
monitoring installations carried out by SWIGA members.
This gives Green Deal Providers confidence that work will be
completed according to robust procedures and controls and
consumers the security of an independent 25 year guarantee.
Cost of Membership
Applications for membership should be made on the
enclosed form and be accompanied by a processing
fee of £250. There is currently no annual membership
fee, although members must be registered under the
Surveillance Scheme with a Surveillance body recognised
by SWIGA.
