The Sustainable Development Goals are an
urgent call to action for every country on
Earth, both developed and developing, to work
together in global partnership for a better,
more peaceful, more prosperous present
and future. The Goals recognise that ending
deprivations and poverty must go hand-in-
hand with strategies to improve education
and health, spur economic growth and reduce
inequality, while simultaneously working to
preserve our forests and oceans and tackle
climate change.
Today, the United Nations Division for
Sustainable Development Goals provides
substantive support and capacity building for
the Sustainable Development Goals and their
related thematic issues.
