September 2016 – Present
Working more directly with the executive committee of both the steering committee and the fundraising
committee, and having signing privileges. Heading up a variety of subcommittees – including event
planning and management. Working with the City on road safety and crosswalks issues outside the school –
an ongoing project - in conjunction with the Principal Mme Marielle, and Consellor Knack. Improving
communications between the committee, school administration, and parents – an ongoing project – which
includes setting up the committee’s Facebook page, and establishing a template library of information
publications, as well as establishing a set, annual calendar of events so the community can anticipate
participation. The latter project with a view to increasing uptake in events, fundraising, and volunteerism.

Working as joint head of a variety of subcommittees – including event planning and management.
Improving clarity of science fair event rules and having them fall in line with national science fair
regulations resulting in increased participation and wider variety types of entries. Creating a separate Arts
Fair event, and introducing a performing arts component resulting in more participants at the event.
Communications Director – Glastonbury Community League
September 2011 – October 2015
Responsible for the communications components of the Glastonbury Community League. Including
launching the 16-page tabloid style community newspaper (editing, writing, photography, soliciting articles
and ads, designing ads, and press ok and mailing); launching the community league Facebook page and
increasing its followers eight-fold; and planning/hosting several large community events, and programmes.
Being nominated by my fellow board members for the 2014 Stars of Alberta Volunteer was a particular
highlight of my time on the board.

Highlights include: writing submissions for the Glastonbury Gazette, and Inspire Magazine; working with
Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE) on pop up banners; various pro bono print pieces for the
francophone schools my children attend (including all of the print material related to the 25th
anniversary
of Prématernelle Bobino Bobinette); and a variety of professional contracts with Fireman & Co.

Working in conjunction with the Media Officer, section heads, ministers of various departments, and the
head of mission on a variety of publication needs, including joint events and publications for targeted
industries (department of defense, cultural and arts events with the Embassy of Afghanistan, Canada House
Gallery). Producing paper publications and large scale signage, (including stage sets for the initial Canada
Day in London hosted annually in Trafalgar Square).
