leave a social responsibility footprint wherever we

However, at CWC, our approach to charitable
giving is about more than writing a cheque. For us,
it is about becoming fundamentally involved in and
collaborating with local communities, charities and
other non-profit organizations on initiatives that we
have found to create positive change most
effectively.
“On behalf of the Board, Management and staff of the secretariat, we would like to appreciate the support
which CWC have been giving the coalition all these years especially through the NOG event. We wish to
specially thank you for organizing this year’s raffle draw at the NOG the proceed of which will be used for

maintenance as in the support so our young people can continue to study”
Raul Cánovas Benito, Volunteer , Casa do Gaiato
“We write to formally appreciate the CWC Group for supporting NiBUCAA and for giving us unprecedented
visibility in every Nigerian event organised by your company since 2010. We thank you most especially for
bringing Mr. Augustine “Jay-Jay” Okocha to put a face on the Coalition at the just concluded National Oil
and Gas (NOG) Strategic Conference held in Abuja, Nigeria. We want you to know that the efforts by the
CWC Group will add immense value to our work in NiBUCAA. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Executive
Committee, Management and Staff of the Coalition we use this forum to show our deep appreciation. What
you have done in the 2013 edition of the NOG will surely assist us in our membership drive because you have
provided the NiBUCAA-led Private Sector Response the much needed window of opportunity with a view to
getting more corporate bodies to enlist as valued-members. We thank you for your usual cooperation, for
believing in us and what we are capable of doing! We look forward to a greater collaboration in the very
near future.”

Colombia
Joint Initiative with Talisman Colombia
CWC Group is proudly supporting the educational sector of Colombia
by inviting leading universities to participate and share opinions with
government and operators in order to develop more engineering
programmes. The need for Colombian professionals in areas like offshore,
LNG, crude oil recovery and unconventionals is becoming very important
for the sustainable development of the country's economy, and therefore
more universities are being urged to open related academic programmes.
Talisman Colombia has partnered with CWC to drive these efforts forward
in Colombia. In 2015 we launched a contest with students from major
universities to develop essays on current energy topics. The winners
were granted an opportunity to attend the conference and exhibition in
Cartagena, learn further about the industry and network with current oil
operators.
Comunidad Zenu Joint Initiative with Fundación Gente Ecopetrol
Comunidad Zenu consists of 125 families which have been inhabiting
the area for the last 14 years. CWC Group and Fundación Gente
Ecopetrol are working together to support the educational development
of the kids from Comunidad Zenu. We have built a Cultural and Educational
Centre for the children where they can learn, do their homeworks, play and
spend time together.
Mozambique
Infantario 1ro de Maio
Over the last few years we have been addressing the most immediate
needs of small children living in the Infantario 1ro de Maio. We have
supplied the most needed medication, blankets, baby clothes and toys,
food supplies as well as school and colouring books and pens. We have
funded and supervised building of a shaded area where children can
rest and play and also repainted bedrooms.
Casa do Gaiato
CWC has started working with Casa do Gaiato in 2014. So far we have
supported initiatives aimed at both younger kids to help with their
everyday life and slightly older children to support their future
development. We have bought and donated clothes, toys, school,
colouring books and pens. We are also involved in an educational project
funding a four year university degree on “Engineering Geology & Mining”
for one of the older boys to help him develop his career in the oil &
gas industry.

Nigerian Business Coalition Against Aids
The CWC Group has supported the Nigerian Business Coalition Against
AIDS (NiBUCAA) for over five years now. We have been an active member
of the coalition as we share NiBUCAA’s belief that the private sector should
respond to the growing challenges of HIV/AIDS ensuring equal rights and
opportunities for employees infected or affected by the virus.
CWC Group has provided regular support through:
This is a very important initiative and one we are extremely proud to
support. Given our long history of working in Africa and out extensive local
contacts we are keenly aware of the impact of HIV and AIDS within the
region.
Practical Nigerian Content Youth Workshop
In partnership with the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board
(NCDMB) and the Bayelsa State Government, the CWC Group has devel-
oped the annual Practical Nigerian Content Youth Workshop. Working
closely with local youth groups and societies, student organisations and
professional associations, the Youth Workshop brings together over 300
Bayelsan graduates from across the state to this free-to-attend forum.
In a country with an unemployment rate as high as 23% for graduates, and
close to 60% youth unemployment in rural areas, the Youth Workshop
provides a valuable platform for local youths to hear from respected figures
within business, industry and academia, providing them insights and useful
tools to help them enter the oil and gas industry, or launch their own
businesses, capitalising on the opportunities present in their own communi-
ties and Bayelsa as a whole. The Workshop also highlights further training
opportunities available as well as initiatives provided by local government
and the NCDMB that will enable them to further enhance their employment
prospects. Leveraging on CWC’s close relationship with the Nigerian
Business Coalition Against AIDS (NiBUCAA), the workshop also provides an
opportunity to offer free HIV/AIDS testing to attendees.
• Organization, funding and publicity of the Annual NiBUCAA Charity
Raffle taking place at the Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition, and
regularly hosted by country’s favourite athletes, comedians and artists.
• Donation of all proceeds from the Annual NiBUCAA Charity Raffle
• Complimentary exhibition stand at all CWC’s events taking place in
Nigeria, providing NiBUCAA with exposure to 9,000+ contacts per year
• Support and guidance with NiBUCAA’s marketing and PR efforts

local social projects in each of the countries
we operate. Mozambique, Nigeria and
Colombia have been a massive learning curve
for the company and we are so excited to see
the positive results we have already brought
to the communities in each place. As a company,
