Gain the
edge
Dr. Anna Griffith’s NCAA college and multiplesport
high school athletic experience, along with specialized
vision and optometric training has given her the ideal
understanding to work with athletes on improving
their visual skills, visual processing speed, reaction
time, and speed, specific to the demands of their sport
and position.
She utilizes training equipment used by professional
athletes and knowledge from her residency training at
Pacific University and from her residency mentor who
works with professional athletes at Nike World Head-
quarters in Beaverton, OR.
Her residency followed her optometric education at UC
Berkeley and undergraduated studies at UC Davis.

2. At least 15 visual skills are assessed to determine
if, and how well the eyes are aligned focus, track,
and work together in a dynamic setting. Test-
ing is done in different fields of gaze, which is
important for certain sportspecific skills. Depth
perception, eyehand and eyefoot speed and
coordination is also measured.
Assessments detect any deficits that should
be addressed and provide a way to mearsure
results of training. A comprehensive eye exam is
required before a sports vision assessment.
