I am a recent graduate from Seattle Pacific University (Spring 2014). I graduated with a double major: Visual
Communication Graphic Design and European Studies: French.
I am interested in the Early Childhood Teacher position.
I love to travel, meet new people, and engage in new cultures. I am an outgoing person, and love to interact
and be with people. I am patient with kids, I am an innovative and diligent worker.
I have experience teaching and working at a after school day care at an elementary school, which was the
start of my passion to want to work with kids and help them succeed and learn more about the arts. I have
been organizing private drawing and painting art classes for the last couple of years to kids from the ages
of 3yrs -15yrs and also young adult classes.
I worked at an after school care at an elementary school, watching the kids, playing games and bringing
ideas for arts and crafts. I love being with kids and teaching.
I created lesson plans while I was an elementary school French teacher at Lincoln Elementary in Interlake,
Seattle, WA.
Knowing French as my second language and being a graphic designer has expanded my perspective in
teaching French and art to all ages, the two closely coorelate as the French culture has a lot of art influence.
My private art classes that I teach incorporate French vocabulary to add a flare to my teaching style.
I have a great adoration for art and design, as I enjoy using these skills to teach students. It is truly my
passion to work in an environment that involves teachng education through art and French.
Sincerely,
Marie Medearis
