2. Self-3
Abstract
Understand others in part has a lot to do with how we understand ourselves, this report
covers the analysis of three concepts of my own sense of self. The three concepts are the self as
a soul. The self as a cognitive structure and the self as a flow of experience. The concepts will be
defined per personal understanding of them in addition to describing my own self of self-based
on the three concepts I have chosen.

Self
To understand the sense of self it is important to understand the definition of the aspects
of self. The self as a soul refers to the understanding that a being is more than just a body with
bones and a heart that there is a part of us that lives on. The self as a cognitive structure is the
ability to accept one’s conscious thinking process and are formed through experience and
teachings; lastly for the sense of self is the self as a flow of experience. It is understood that this
refers to a constant change of growth and change for self-improvement.
My own sense of self with these three concepts are comingled I am more than just a body
and my soul lives on even after my body wears out, I am conscious of my behavior and am in a
believe that we can continue to grow daily on all levels spiritually, educationally, and physically.
I strive to improve daily to improve my life and my surroundings realizing that only I can control
them with the help god thru prayer. I can able to make the changes I need for future endeavors
because I acknowledge my weak areas and strive to correct them or become stronger than I was
the day before. I tell myself daily that I can do what it takes!
