EXPERIENCE
Gate Guard Sentry and Weapons Specialist, United States Navy, 2011-May 2016
• Conducted over 400 hours of armed patrols and inspections in U.S and overseas in
controlled areas, resulting in zero-loss in a 2-year period.
• Investigated security and safety violations during watch standing, recorded findings in
detailed watch logbooks.
• Recognized by senior individuals for ability to communicate in an effective manner at all
levels of understanding, as well as completing any task given.
• Primary night armorer for naval ship, during evening shift rotation for 9 months.
Maintained 100% accountability for all weapons and ammunition.
• Main member of Security Reaction Force Basic Team and Small Craft Action Team
during duration aboard naval ship.
• Effectively trained and managed safe weapons handling technique training for a diverse
workforce of 20+ members of the military. Ensured all training standards were met.
• Assisted as a gun range line coach during 4 company wide gun qualification evolutions.
• Supervisory position over division of people for weapons department. Provided
leadership, instruction, and supervision for small groups of military members, ensuring
each person was prepared and trained for the mission.
• Trouble shot electrical equipment, which required speedy diagnosis through visual
assessment. Correctly identified issues with electronics and repaired equipment ensuring
that any non-operational equipment was back in service within 24 hrs.
• Utilized computers, communication equipment, and personal navigation devices to
complete tasks effectively and accurately.
