CERTIFICATION OF PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Professional qualification is a set of skills required to perform a job within a profession
or activity at a certain level of complexity. Professional qualifications are an addition or
upgrade of formal education and open up new opportunities for acquiring knowledge
that you cannot or could not acquire in full-time education, as they are those skills that
are developed on the basis of innovations in technology and work processes, which are
absolutely necessary for mastery of work in a modern, development-oriented society.
Professional qualifications in the field of electrical safety and quality assurance within
the EDISON consortium relate to one or more competencies performed by one person in
the context of their employment or workplace. Professional qualifications are intended
for individuals who want to grow professionally and increase their employment
opportunities, as well as for employers who are aware of the importance of properly
trained employees.
Check the conditions for taking the exam, register for the training if you need and
pass the exam for each individual competency of which the professional qualification
consists.
The selection of individual competencies with links to detailed knowledge and
implementation schedules are given below. Apply for an individual competency where
delegate will gain 2CPD+2CPD*points per competency, or certification of complete
professional qualification where delegate will gain 18CPD +18CPD* points in total for
the whole professional qualification CPQ. (CPD*optional points when pass the exam)

CERTIFICATION OF INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED COMPETENCES
Certificate of Competence* is the reference document by which the individual proves
that he / she has acquired the relevant expertise by passing the examination (applied
knowledge test) and is acquainted with the novelties in the field of the technical
regulation or standard covered by the certificate.
Conditions for issuing certificates of competence and the methods of assessment are
specified in the examination catalogues approved by the employers’ organizations
(associations, chambers …). The online exam system eliminates a number of
administrative barriers and provides an impartial and transparent basis in the
certification process.
The validity of the certificate is determined by the frequency of technical and
technological changes which are identified by periodic verification. The validity generally
does not exceed three year and may be renewed in accordance with the procedures by
which the certificate was obtained.
A valid certificate of competence / qualification is the basis for obtaining a work permit,
which in the field of electrical safety determines responsibilities between the employee
and the employer.
* Competences are those skills that enable an individual to successfully complete work
tasks and solve problems in a specific workplace or work area.

  • 24. Page 24 CERTIFICATION OF PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Professional qualification is a set of skills required to perform a job within a profession or activity at a certain level of complexity. Professional qualifications are an addition or upgrade of formal education and open up new opportunities for acquiring knowledge that you cannot or could not acquire in full-time education, as they are those skills that are developed on the basis of innovations in technology and work processes, which are absolutely necessary for mastery of work in a modern, development-oriented society. Professional qualifications in the field of electrical safety and quality assurance within the EDISON consortium relate to one or more competencies performed by one person in the context of their employment or workplace. Professional qualifications are intended for individuals who want to grow professionally and increase their employment opportunities, as well as for employers who are aware of the importance of properly trained employees. Check the conditions for taking the exam, register for the training if you need and pass the exam for each individual competency of which the professional qualification consists. The selection of individual competencies with links to detailed knowledge and implementation schedules are given below. Apply for an individual competency where delegate will gain 2CPD+2CPD*points per competency, or certification of complete professional qualification where delegate will gain 18CPD +18CPD* points in total for the whole professional qualification CPQ. (CPD*optional points when pass the exam) Sign up Sign Up for Active Online Seminar CERTIFICATION OF INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED COMPETENCES Certificate of Competence* is the reference document by which the individual proves that he / she has acquired the relevant expertise by passing the examination (applied knowledge test) and is acquainted with the novelties in the field of the technical regulation or standard covered by the certificate. Conditions for issuing certificates of competence and the methods of assessment are specified in the examination catalogues approved by the employers’ organizations (associations, chambers …). The online exam system eliminates a number of administrative barriers and provides an impartial and transparent basis in the certification process. The validity of the certificate is determined by the frequency of technical and technological changes which are identified by periodic verification. The validity generally does not exceed three year and may be renewed in accordance with the procedures by which the certificate was obtained. A valid certificate of competence / qualification is the basis for obtaining a work permit, which in the field of electrical safety determines responsibilities between the employee and the employer. * Competences are those skills that enable an individual to successfully complete work tasks and solve problems in a specific workplace or work area.
