Personal Statement
Marc is an enthusiastic and passionate Software Engineer who will receive a Bachelors in
Information and Computer Sciences from the University of Hawaii at Mánoa (2016). Currently in search
of a career, along with having various personal projects, Marc is constantly in pursuit of honing and
applying his programming, interpersonal and many other skills.

Department of Defense – Summer Intern (Summer 2015)
o Cleared TOP SECRET(TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Polygraph
o Organized and cleaned up web presence on the department’s SharePoint site to increase
productivity
o Created and modified SharePoint web pages to help organize and hasten processes such as
conference room reserving, time keeping, weekly activity reports and technology help.
o Contributed to the development of the departments, Recognition, Awards, Morale and
Professional Development Program (RAMP) by creating a collaborative SharePoint site so
that the program can easily provide options for the work force at all levels to recognize
employees who have made significant contributions and also provide professional
development opportunities for the work force.
o Designed and coded a web page via WordPress that pulls information from one

o Developed a Network Metric in Java that computes metrics of nodes in a graph so that an
analysis of the graphs structure and efficiency can be made.
o Worked with a team in creating a program in Java that creates .ICS files that can be applied
to a variety of today’s online calendars.
o Created a user-interface (command line) address book in C++
o Designed and created a workflow for a to-do list app for Google Glass that utilizes its touch
and voice commands.
o Contributed to a simple RPG database project in MySQL
o Created a web-based, “ambient” and interactive piggy bank for the user to easily keep track
of their budgets with a single glance.
o Contributed to developing a program that simulated a CPU Scheduler to help grasp the
concept of the various CPU scheduling algorithms in Operating Systems.
o Also contributed to developing a program that simulated a Virtual Memory Management
System (single process).
Personal Programming Projects
o RIOT Games API (League of Legends Summoner Comparison) – Developed a page in
HTML, CSS & JavaScript that utilizes Riot’s API for League of Legends. The page allows
the user to search two summoner’s (players) stats so they can easily compare them side by
side.
