Research
Designing Scalable and Robust Animated and 3D static CAPTCHAs for web services
CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a type of
challenge-response test used as an attempt to ensure that the response is generated by a human.
Basically, CAPTCHAs are reading challenges whose response decides whether the user is a human or a
bot program. CAPTCHAs have been a very important part of the Internet, which are useful and
restrictive for the misuse of facilities available online. During the past few years, various CAPTCHA
schemes have been developed and used by different websites. Companies like Google, Yahoo, MSN and
different social networks like Facebook, Twitter etc. All make use of CAPTCHAs to secure their own
services from online misuse.
