1. Preview of next OP version
Note: This document is a preview of the features in the next version of the
Onapsis Platform. Product help topics referenced in this document will not
have the content related to these new features until the next version of the
Onapsis Platform is released.
What's New Version 2.2021.122
n New: Custom modules page: A new POLICIES > CUSTOM MODULES page
provides a simple place to view, create, and edit custom modules. The legacy
custom module pages have also been retired. This is another step in
transitioning full legacy functionality to the new UI.
n New: Account security email notifications: Platform administrators can elect
to have the Onapsis Platform send account security email messages to users
when, for example, their password or permissions change or the platform
detects multiple failed login attempts. This helps keep accounts secure by
making users aware of account changes when they occur and helping identify
unusual or unauthorized activity.
n Improved: Enable sensors for Software as a Service (SaaS) asset scanning
from the new UI: You can now enable sensors to scan SaaS assets such as
SuccessFactors with one click in the Onapsis Platform. Previously you had to
enable sensors using the sensor Setup menu interface, so this is a significant
usability improvement.
n Improved: Support for SNC encryption in the new UI: The new UI now sup-
ports configuring SNC encryption for Onapsis Platform communications with
SAP assets. In previous releases, you had to configure SNC encryption in the
legacy UI. This is another step in transitioning full legacy functionality to the
new UI.

n Improved: Job scan progress bar: The status of running jobs is now rep-
resented by a green progress bar instead of a SCANNING icon. The bar
provides more precise scan progress and a better user experience.
n New, changed, and deprecated modules: In this release, there are new and
updated modules. For information, see the Module change log topic in the
product help.
New: Custom modules page
In a new POLICIES > CUSTOM MODULES page provides a simple place to view,

Platform administrators can elect to have the Onapsis Platform send account
security email messages to users when, for example, their password or
permissions change or the platform detects multiple failed login attempts. This
helps keep accounts secure by making users aware of account changes when
they occur and helping identify unusual or unauthorized activity.
Platform administrators can go to the SETTINGS > USERS> Account security area
to view the On/Off toggle for SECURITY NOTIFICATIONS. For complete
information, see the Manage account security notifications topic in the product
help.
Improved: Enable sensors for SaaS
asset scanning from the Onapsis
Platform UI
Before you can scan Software as a Service (SaaS) assets such as
SuccessFactors, you must enable it on the assets' sensor by installing required
Onapsis code. In previous releases, this was a manual task often performed by
Onapsis support. You can now install the required software by editing the
sensor in the Onapsis Platform with one click.

This is one step in a process for configuring and scanning SaaS assets. For
complete information, see the configuration guide for the SaaS platform.
To enable a sensor to scan SaaS assets, take the following steps:
1. Upgrade or install the latest Onapsis Platform version.
2. Log into the Onapsis Platform and click SETTINGS > APPLIANCES >Appliance
management.
3. Hover the cursor on a sensor row and click the jump-to icon .
4. Click EDIT SENSOR.
5. In the SAAS TARGET SCANS section, click the toggle to switch from Disabled
to Enabled. The required code is installed.

Improved: Support for SNC encryption in
the new UI
The new UI now supports configuring SNC encryption for Onapsis Platform
communications with SAP assets.
Secure Network Communications (SNC) is a software layer within the SAP
system architecture that provides an interface to applications for supporting
enhanced security features beyond the basic SAP measures. SAP does not
currently include the encryption of data communicated with external systems.
To configure SNC, click SETTINGS > COMMUNICATION SECURITY > SNC, then
upload required files:
