The Ramayana says that King Rawana, who lived in Sri Lanka, died in the Great War of Rama
Rawana, but the body of King Rawana, who fainted from Rama's blows, was safely buried on
the top of the "Maha Kudugala Kadu" in the Nuwara Eliya District, and his body was found in a
river three days later. It is said in an ancient pamphlet that after that King Rawana regained
consciousness and after regaining consciousness for the longest time he went to the Maha
Dabhagas Arana in the Himalayan forest to meditate.
We do not know where the truth of this news lies. It is mentioned in the pamphlet that this
pamphlet, which is now over five centuries old, was taken from a previous gold plate.
It is said that the royal gold of King Rawana was placed in a very respectable manner in the
middle of the cactus garden at Hakgala Kadbawume in Mirivedisagala Nuwara Eliya and it was
safely secured with seven snake foams by King Vibhishana. It is further stated in the leaflets
that before the discovery of the body of Ravana, a 95 year old man should have placed this
golden Miriwadi Sagala on his head and placed it near the body of Sri Ravana.
2. It states that no sacrifice is required to obtain this golden Mirivedi Sagala treasure from Haggala
and that the participant must be a person over 50 years of age who is not a meat eater.
Before all this, the "Pasingal Gem" hidden in a pile of stones at the Thunman Junction at the top
of the Hakgala mountain.
According to some ancient myths, the Sinhalese were born into four main lineages. They are
the four lineages of Yakkha, Naga, Deva and Raksha. It is no secret, then, that Sivuhela is a
kingdom ruled by a single flag in the same country where the sun god was worshiped. Also, the
Ravana flag with the sun and moon is considered to be the oldest flag in Sri Lanka. The current
concept of the Lion Flag came to this country with Prince Vijaya who came here 25 centuries
ago.
The temple, built by Ravana as soon as he came to power, is said to have been built in memory
of his parents, and can be identified as a sign that the Yakkha tribe worshiped the dead in the
past. This temple is believed to have been converted into a Buddhist temple on the day of [[King
Pandukabhaya | King Pandukabhaya]]. History has it that [[King Pandukabhaya | King
Pandukabhaya]] was a king who paid special attention to the Yakkha tribe. This place is now
known as "Isurumuniya".
According to the pamphlet '' Ravanawata '', the architect of Sigiriya is 'Maya Dannawa'. He built
[[Sigiriya]] on the orders of King Vistavasa (Wesamuni), the father of Ravana. At that time
Sigiriya was known as Alakamandawa and during the reign of King Kuvera it was known as ''
Chitranakuta ''. Later, after the death of Ravana, "Vibhishana" became king and moved his
kingdom to Kelaniya. Furthermore, Chittaraja is said to have been one of the aides to Prince
Pandukabhaya (437-367 BC). It is believed that the parents of Prince Pandukabhaya were
descendants of Chittaraja.
In addition, according to Ravana, after the reign of King Pandukabhaya, Prince Kassapa, the
son of King Dhatusena, chose Chitrakuta as his abode because his mother was a devout
believer and she too was a descendant of him. King Kassapa was the only king who restored
and maintained the Chittakuta as Ravana did. The world-famous murals at Chittagong (later
Sigiriya) are believed to represent the Four Noble Truths. The blue desert depicts the Yakkha
tribe, while the other female figures represent the Naga, Deva and Gandhabba tribes, and the
ornate flowers show the unity of the land.
Punishment
The Pushpikaya or Dandumonara, which attracts the attention of many today, is considered to
be the official chariot of Ravana. It is said that mercury was used for the fuel, which was made
of wood, and that the mercury was melted down with the help of a diamond. Another special
feature is that the Chittakuta or present day Sigiriya is also the only fort in Cyril where a wooden
elevator operated from top to bottom. It is said that this wooden elevator was used daily in the
hole drilled from near the lion's mouth.
Archaeologists and historians speculate that Dandumonara may have been made of light wood
brought from the Himalayas. Furthermore, Sigiriya has more than five hundred paintings around
it, but it is said that they have faded over time due to natural causes. In any case, Sigiriya, also
known as Chittakuta and Alakamanda because of Ravana or Kassapa, is inevitably the oldest
fortress in the world.

* King Rawana was the first Buddhist king of Ceylon
4. King Rawana is said to have ruled all three worlds again after King Hiranya Kasyapa. Even
today there are many places associated with King Rawana that are not associated with any
other king in Ceylon. Today, as we search for our history, let us move forward by inquiring about
that great man, Ravana.
King Rawana's parents are the very powerful sage Vishwavas Kiyan and the princess Kaikeshi.
Here, too, is a story line in Hindu literature, that Kiyakeshi was the daughter of King Sumali, who
ruled the kingdom of Daitiya. Because Sumeli was a very powerful king, King Sumali was
looking for someone more powerful than Sumeli to hand over his inheritance to marry his
daughter. Eventually no one in the world was like that, so Sumali married his daughter to
Vishwamavas, one of the most powerful sages (ascetics). Ravana is the son of this couple.
Even now the retired sage has his monsters
He also has a son named Kuvera who was born to his wife Raka.
This is seen in Isuru Muni and is considered to be Vishwas Muni
Sage Pulathisi is considered to be the grandfather of King Rawana's paternal grandfather. The
statue near the Parakrama Samudra is also considered to be of a sage named Pulathisi. Sage
Pulathisi's Tapo forest is today considered to be the land of the mighty sea. However, according
to Hindu literature, Pulathisi is considered to be a son born of the mind of the great Bhima. By
this I mean that Pulathisi Srishiva was a very powerful and wise man. Therefore, it can be said
that King Rawana was a mixture of Brahmans and demons in his birth.
Vishravas Muni observed that Ravana was an arrogant and quarrelsome man who had learned
the craft under Ravana's father Vishravas Muni. Also, Ravana was an expert in learning and
had studied the Vedas abroad. It is said that King Rawana wrote one of the four Vedic books. It
is also said that King Rawana was a master of the harp and a great warrior.
It is said that after this education King Rawana practiced asceticism in Gokanne. According to
Hindu literature, the ascetic Rawana performed this asceticism in order to obtain permission
from Mahabrahma. There he offered his head to Mahabrahma ten times, and every time he
washed his head, another head appeared and finally, when the tenth head was about to be
beheaded, Mahabrahma came and prepared to give him a chance. Brahma finally gave him the
nectar and it was in his navel and made to remain his immortality as long as it remained. In
addition to this it is said that Maha Brahma gave back to Ravana all the ten heads offered by
Ravana. In many places it is said about the 10 heads of this Ravana. It is mentioned in Hindu
literatu.Even though it is mentioned in Hindu literature, even 1000 years ago, there could not be
a man with 10 heads. These 10 heads mean the immense wisdom of King Rawana. The twenty
hands that are said to have been with the 10 heads are said to have been the various abilities of
King Rawana.
Piercing the navel of King Rawana
We explained in a previous article about Lankapura and Dadumonara, created by Vishwakarma
for Sinhamukha. We also note that King Sinhamukha fled Lankapura due to the death of Prince
5. Surapadma Kathira and the eldest son of Vishwas Muni, that is, Ravana's brother took over
Lankapura. In our exploration we mentioned that Ravana did not complete the Kuvera Deva
education and therefore captured Lankapura. But in some places it is mentioned differently.
According to those details, King Rawana's mother was from a Yaksha tribe and when Rawana
came and asked Kuvera for Lankapura and Dadumonara, Kuvera chased Ravana away. But
Rawana, who does not hesitate easily, with the help of his Yaksha tribal relatives, chases away
Kuvera and captures Lankapura.
The Hindus who burn King Rawana to this day say that Rawana abducted Sita and defeated
him. They say that Rawana was a great ruler, that Ceylon was prosperous during the reign of
King Rawana and that all the people lived very comfortably during the reign of King Rawana.
What we need to think about here is whether King Rawana, who was very powerful and full of
war strength, lost to Rama in the war .
..
The exact source of King Rawana's family is not known, but according to the Ramayana we can
construct the family of King Rawana in this way
.
Pulathisi Srishivaraya - Grandfather of King Ravana's father
Sumali - Grandfather of King Rawana's mother
Vishrivas Muni - Father of King Rawana
Kaikeshi - Mother of King Rawana
Subhanu and Maricha - Uncles of King Rawana (Mother's brothers)
Kuvera - Brother of King Rawana (son of Vishravas Muni's monster wife)
Vibhishana - Brother of King Rawana. According to the Ramayana, Vibhishana Rama, a
devotee of Rama, helped Rama in the battle of Ravana. In any case, when you look at the
Indian mirror, it is called Vibhishana
Even today, it is amazing to be treated like a god.
Kumbhakarna - Brother of King Rawana. According to Hindu literature, after Kumbhakarna's
intense asceticism, when the great Brahma gave Kumbhakarna the opportunity to ask for a
boon, he asked for eternal sleep. But under the influence of King Rawana this privilege has
been changed to allow him to sleep for six months a year and stay awake for the remaining six
months. (Some texts state that this is one day in a year) However, Kumbhakarna Rama was a
fighter who fought on the side of King Rawana in the battle of Ravana. If it had been agreed, the
history of Ceylon would have changed a lot
Khara - Brother of King Rawana. It is said that he was a very talented warrior who ruled the
northern areas of the Jansthan or Hela Empire.
6. Iravana - Brother of King Rawana. Hindu literature states that he was the ruler of the kingdom of
Pada + Thala + under (the underworld) and ruled under Ravana, but King Rawana sent Prince
Suparnika's husband, Vidyutha, to the kingdom of Pada + thala + under the rule of Lankapura
and acted as an independent state.
Dushana - King Rawana's brother is the viceroy of Janasthan
Kumbhani - It is said that Maya, a sister of King Rawana, was an ascetic and later went into
asceticism.
Suparnika - Sister of King Rawana. Rama Ravana was the warden of Maya Dandakarani which
was the subject of the war.
From the available sources we can say that King Rawana was the best king in Sri Lanka. In
Ayurveda it is still mentioned in books believed to have been written by King Rawana.
According to the Rajavali and Hela Hawula findings, King Rawana lived before the Buddha, but
according to the Lankavatara Sutras in the Mahayana Buddhism, King Rawana is considered to
be a contemporary of the Buddha. Since Sri Lanka was a Theravada Buddhist country, it is
difficult to find this Lankavatara Sutta in Sri Lanka. Although Theravada Buddhism
acknowledges that the Buddha visited Sri Lanka three times, it is difficult in Theravada
Buddhism to find sermons delivered by the Buddha there. The Buddha preached the Dhamma
to Sri Lanka more than three times and as far as we know all the Dhamma preached by the
Buddha was preached by Arahant Ananda at the first Dhamma Sangayana.
