1. Taking care of patients' on non-invasive and invasive ventilation. Continuously monitor parameters for
any changes of ventilation and its parameters observe effects and unexpected problems towards
treatment.
2. Performs tracheostomy decannulation and extubation of patients as well as removal on invasive lines
such as central venous catheter, arterial lines, epidural catheter, vascath, chest tubes and post-op
abdominal and redivac drains.
3. Assist in special procedures such as percutaneous tracheostomy, central line insertion, arterial line
insertions, vascath insertion, chest tube insertion in emergency cases, bronchoscopy, pleural
aspiration and elective cardioversion which is rare to be done in ICCU unless needed.
4. Provide monitoring for patients who have undergone surgical procedure for patients controlled
analgesia (PCA) and patients controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) management.
5. Observes post-op nephrectomy and cystectomy with ieal conduit fromation and any post-op general
surgery patient requiring HDU care and ITU care.
6. Provides care for a wide variety of critically ill post-surgical patients such as general surgery, ENT,
vascular surgery,cardio surgery and neuro surgery and etc
7. Actively cooperate on sepsis care bundle and ventilation care bundles.
8. Shared staff provides intensive, individualized care to patients of all ages.
9. Nurses, nurse specialist, pharmacist, dietician, medical staff and consultants are joined by a full
interdisciplinary team involved in patient care.

play a major role in communicating to the relatives in accurately ill patients and on their grieving
process especially during withdrawal of treatment.

1. Keeps close observation on the on the monitor and reports life threatening arrhythmia.
2. Observes, records and report abnormal vital signs, intake and output, secretions, excretions to the
medical team.
3. Assist in induction of intubation and ventilation of patients and continue head to toe assessment.
