Majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a
certificate studying the interconnectivity of Science,

Part of First Year Interest Group with concentration in
Agronomy
Purpose of Research : To find efficient cellulose
degrading microbes for use In bio fuels.
Skills acquired : Fluent with the use of pipette, PCR,
16s rRNA sequencing.

Part of Student Radio on campus.
A DJ at WSUM 91.7 FM (1 year and present)
Host of two shows namely :
- Breaking the Ice : Keep it real ; This show aims to break
the myths people have about the environment and
encourage conversation about conservation and
environmentalism
- Food, Nature and Good vibes ; This show aims to bring
together three different but important aspects of our lives
from different perspectives of sciences and social sciences

healthy food that is appealing to high school students.

8. Summary
Exposure to different projects and different types of
projects has pushed me to not only think outside the box,
but has also taught me what works and what does not
work. Studying engineering and also pursuing creative
pursuits like my blog and my radio show has taught me
how to work with the interplay of two very different pillars
of society. With a diverse background, I am able to give
unique perspectives to issues and projects. With the skills
that I have acquired I wish to make processes and
systems more efficient and optimal and believe that I will
be able to work well with projects that demand the same.
