1. Work Accomplishment – Global Front Counter System
In 2010, McDonald’s Canada introduced a new order taking and delivery system called Global
Front Counter System, aimed at keeping consistency nationwide in stores in regards to order
taking and delivery. As a shift manager, I was to facilitate the training of a group of 15 crew.
The result became an efficient and consistent knowledge across the store of how to properly
conduct business in this setting upon store renovation.
2. Work Accomplishment – The Promotion Process
These three documents-first aid training, food safety, and safety training, represent
the beginning process in my promotion within the company. I was to attend these
classes prior to any company related classes in order to begin the necessary training
for promotion. They are also transferrable to future positions.
3. Work Accomplishment-The Promotion Process
This was the first class in my path to becoming a shift manager. Upon months of
training and developing my colleagues, I became a team leader, which acted as a shift
management assistant in conducting daily tasks. This was the beginning of my being
able to properly run shifts within the business without higher management presence.
4. My Influence
Gail Vaz-Oxlade, a financial guru in the industry, is my motivation to begin studying finance at
Centennial College. These two books provide money management advice, something I see
myself doing for the general public in my next career. Both of these influential books were
obtained at a book signing and lecture featuring a presentation by Gail herself.
5. My Proud Accomplishment-Completion of Secondary
School
This is my secondary school diploma. In the present, I am grateful that I was able to
focus on obtaining this over the four year span as it is one of the most vital tools in
deciding and planning my future. Without this, employment opportunities would be
at a minimum and I would not have been accepted into Centennial College.
